Afghan Allies Protection Act Update

I keep looking for more details on the bill introduced in the Senate which included language to extend and expand the Afghan Allies Protection Act of 2009. Arizona Senator John McCain and Jeanne Shaheen from New Hampshire are sponsors of this legislation. This is the latest I have seen in print on AAPA progress – from 23 June in the Wall Street Journal;

    • Those are my hopes as well. I sent a thank you note to Senator McCain since Arizona is my home state and where I expect to spend some time in about six weeks. I will pass on anything I find about progress on this front. I have a number of friends who are AAPA applicants that have been waiting far too long for a visa.

  1. I hope the house of representatives and president sign off the bill and make a law as soon as possible.

    As years past no visa number is assigned to my case or no interview appointment has been scheduled to me yet.
